This is another one of those really popular spots for photographers. I spent years not going here because I saw so many different people shoot here and it didn't interest me that much. I went here when I was in the area finally and now I can see why it's so popular. It's really cool watching large waves hit the rock shelfs and then see the water flow over the edge near the dragons head. I definitely enjoy shooting at this spot now.

Really nice secluded walk. Some great photos and interesting small waterfalls around the 'Dragon's Head'. Car park was quite far away and the walk was generally across a lot of seaweed (can be slippy at times!). Some interesting water holes, rock pools and interesting cliff faces. Lots of people fishing and spear fishing in the area. Great little hike for stopping off on the way.
Popular during school holidays. Lots for kids to look at. Snorkelling and diving was enjoyed by a few people.
Awesome view! Visit after 4 pm for best pics! Close to Ferry Terminal!
Awesome spot, a photographer's heaven, go a couple of hours before low tide , take your tripod
Great make sure you go on low tide
The tide was up when I arrived so I could only see the top of the dragon head but I strongly encourage folks to check out some of the stunning photos online of the dragon's head. I will definitely be going back at low tide and saw beautiful little polished shells, all white, in the crunchy sand.
Reach Car Park 16. Parking spots are a bit limited. It is a comfortable walk down to the beach. However, to view the dragon head rock, you must go towards to the west side of the rock. Please ensure you check the tide time table. The spot is only accessible during low tide. Wear a pair of good shoe with grip. The rock and sea weed bed are very slippery. Not recommended for young kids as they can slip and fall. Overall, a very good experience.
