Thought id try a few fish and chips shops around this area while i was in Rye. This place is overpriced, not so tasty and they undercooked the batter. Calamari rings were fake and flake was not fresh, tasted like there was lemon added on it. They also forgot to add my potato cakes. There was only 1 other customer when I was there so no excuses for the poor quality. David Prosser few doors down definitely heaps better however the ratings are pretty much the same on google ehhh?

Absolutely the best fish & chips I have had in years. I was starting to think a great fish & chip shop didn’t exist. Thumbs up to you Hungry Eyes...will definitely be back

Good old fashioned fish and chips. Loved it.
there were fins and bones in the whiting which was hugely disappointing for my wife. This is why it was not 5 stars. The fish burger was amazing, the chips were on point and my wife said they were the best potato scollops she has ever eaten. Her scollop was Ok only though. It was a mixed bag but would give them another shot thats why 3 stars.
