Simply delicious. Fresh, high quality ingredients and a sophisticated wine list. The owner served us and was a delight to talk to. I'm gluten free and he changed up the scallops to suit me. We shared a number of entrees / sides and sat in the hidden courtyard at the back. You need to come here if you're visiting Rye and treat yourself!

Del Posto serves the best Italian food I have tasted for a long time. Attentive service, well priced food and wine made our visit to Del Posto one of the nicest nights out. Highly recommended

Came down with my girlfriend for an evening out and was really impressed. I normally don't enjoy fish but decided to give the sardine entree a try and it's well worth it. Really interesting! We had the squid ink lasagna and lamb ragu, both were really great. Finished our dinner off with the chocolate tart - a tiny bit too sweet for our liking because of the sause on the bottom and ice cream but not too bad to not eat it Would definitely come back when in the area.

I always go to this restaurant when I visit Rye and it never disappoints. Being an Italian, I appreciate the flavour and thought put into their pasta dishes. All dishes I’ve had here have been delicious. There is a sense of urgency to get to out of the restaurant after you’ve eaten which I guess for some people is quite annoying but once I’ve eaten and satisfied I’m happy to leave. Would definitely continue coming here.

A group of us headed down to this restaurant with high expectations only to be rushed out after a 35 minute dinner...Our mains came out within 10 minutes of ordering them and the cheque was placed on our table as soon as our plates were cleared. As probably the youngest group (well behaved nevertheless) in the room, we felt we were simply a bother to serve. Despite beautiful food, due to such poor service, we will unfortunately not be returning

Excellent italian restaurant with great service, interesting menu, very good wine list, scrumptious sweets and a prime position for people watching and admiring the bay views...definitely in my top 5 for mornington peninsula dining!
