Stopped for a quick snack after traveling the majority of the day. Chips tasted like frozen ones, and we had battered sausages which looked like they had been re battered and cooked from sometime before. Small portion also and quite expensive for what we actually had
fantastic! best ive had for ages. going large cost a little more but believe me its worth it! staff go over and above to accommodate your needs ..... and you know you have a good fryer when the batter is chrisp, the chips are evenly cooked , and (most importantly) the wrapping paper is almost greese free. perfect chips, perfect fish, and the best mushy peas ever 10/10
Ordered at 650 was told would be 800 disappointed it would be so long but thought OK, at 750 was messaged it was delayed and would be 820 not happy but by this time what could you do, then at 810 was told it would be 8 40 by this time was considering cancelling it, 840 was told it was on its way but didn't get it till 9pm! It was tepid, chips were not very nice, fish tasted like something out of a packet, soggy batter bland fish, not what I expect from a fish and chip shop, never again, no explanation for such an appalling service and then to get what we got at the end of it! All very well to say on these reviews you can return the food and get a full refund but when you are hungry what do they expect? You can hardly phone up and get them to pick it up? Or take it back? Ours was delivered? They should have issued a full refund for such a poor service.. At least if they had been honest we would not have ordered it in the first place! Never again and will never recommend. .
The place to go for a great bite to eat! Would visit again whenever I’m over on the Isle of Wight. Not a bad price either and they batter anything if that’s what floats your boat! Tried a battered Mars bar before, but I’m interested to see what Oreo’s like!
