Appley Tower is fascinating in the fact that its just randomly sitting on its own between the beautiful beach and the ancient woodland. It looks almost like something from a Disney film. Worth taking a picture or two.

Interesting little building in Ryde. It's been a while since I was here , last time it was open and had a small tea room. You could sit at the top and admire the views. Unfortunately it was closed on this visit so I don't know if the tea room is still there.
What a lovely day to go for a walk along the seafront by the tower certainly blew the cobwebs away and such a lovely view .
Lovely beach. Very clean, and sandy sand. Very shallow water is great for kids
Appley Tower is a fascinating structure with an equally fascinating history, it sits right next to the beach and can be seen from the ferry at it approaches the island, I always remember my sister and I looking out for the tower as kids and getting excited that our holiday was about to begin, Appley Park (just behind the tower) has beautiful woodland walks and green fields, a great place to relax to the sound of waves on the beach, or walk your dog, there's a large car park (pay and display) and public toilets near by, as well as a beach café and ice-cream shop that also sells buckets and spades and other beach items.
