Have used exclusively Waterco products for years but their communications are now non existent. Ordered a Supastream 150 pump 10th February to replace existing 125 model on the basis it was a direct replacement, they told my supplier 2 days delivery. Now after the supplier chased them up nearly daily, they say "on back order, should be available Wednesday 24th!". Why couldn't they have said that on the 10th??? Hopeless service!!! (FOLLOW UP)... sent an email to Waterco as requested in their response below , received a follow up phone call and received the pump today. Unfortunately it did not match their website specification sizes and my system needed re-plumbing.
Several issues with this company that i would like to share. I recently had a registered distributor of theirs install a gas heater in my pool room. The install did not comply with their user guide and was not legal. I asked waterco to return the unit but they refused and wanted nothing to do with the issue or the distributor. I also purchased a waterco Eco V pump which is sold as low noise but actually has a 68 decibel rating. Compare that to my new haward tristar VS pump that is 52 decibels and it's a joke. I would not purchase from Waterco if i had a choice again.
My Waterco heat pump broke after 3 years. Very disappointing.
Never buy any product Waterco branded. Have the pool light failed within warranty period. Now it’s 7 month they unable to replace it under warranty. Submitting fair trading complaint.
Shocking experience with the people and products of Waterco/Swimart. Our Electrochlor 30A Chlorinator & LCD Power pack died after just 3 years of operation (after being told by Swimart it was good for 5-10 years). A Post mortem found the transformer caused a power surge and killed the chlorinator - no fault of our own, as told by the Swimart people who did the analysis. Just something that happens now and then, sorry about that. Our pool builder no longer exists and had never provided any receipts for the many pool products provided, which I believe is pretty standard. So when the warranty issue came up, I was asked to provide the details of final pool payment, which would act as a substitute of the chlorinator receipt. I was then told that the warranty was only 2 years full and 3 years pro-rata, meaning I had to pay 40% of the cost (750 instead of 1800 to replace both parts). I though this price was absurd so went to Waterco directly to argue the point. Then they decided that the pool maker final instalment receipt was not enough - they now wanted the original receipt (which I've never had). As I have no way of providing that, they then RENEGED ON THE WARRANTY OFFER of 750 and said there was actually nothing they can do. I went online and found a superior product for under 600 (brand new, 2 year warranty). I want nothing more to do with Waterco/Swimart and they can rest assured the next pool we build will have absolutely nothing to do with them or their brands.
I have recently purchased some pooling equipment from Waterco and I was served with a high calibur of customer service and a complete deliverance of what I purchased.
