It's a shame as this place had all the potential to be fantastic. It was let down in several areas. One, the waiter/owner although nice and pleasant, was clearly struggling to cope with the amount of people in. Then the kitchen was very small for the amount of covers. So we ordered a sharing platter of calamari, whitebait, 1 ball of mozzarella, 1 sausage a few slices of ciabatta and salad. The ciabatta was stale and needed toasting. There were 4 slices and the bottom 2 had soaked up a load of balsamic vinegar becoming soggy. The whitebait was fine. The calamari was not good. Thick batter that was raw near the squid, my wife works in a restaurant and said it was cheap ftozen. Her place uses top end frozen. The saussge and mozzarella were ok. The salad was just chopped lettuce with a very little sliced red onion. This was 6.95. Now the mains, I have to say that their stroganoff and caciatori sauce was really fine, however, we both asked for sauteed potatoes, these to be honest were dreadful. Undercooked, cold and greasy. We called the waiter over who said they are normal and ok. We said they were definitely not. Then he said they were baked in the oven in butter. We asked for chips which were ok. The mains were 12.95 each. Overall very dissapointed and for the money, can get far better.

Excellent, small Italian restaurant seats about 20 people at a snug fit. The food was amazing absolutely loved it, all fresh and cooked amazingly. Will definitely be back in the future. Only one cook and server so can be a little slow for mains.
Lovely little Italian restaurant in Hull. Our party all had something different and the home cooked food was out of this world. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. Will definitely go again next time I'm in Hull.
Excellent eatery. First time I have been but when I am in Hull again, I will be back. First class food at good prices with that little feel of Italy in Hull.. Combine all this with great service and you are on to a winner. Well done to all concerned.
Great range of starters and mains - meatballs and the prawns were excellent. Also the duck with cherry was very nice, portions are not lacking. Prices were average, not expensive. The venue is very small, with a nice atmosphere. It was a nice change, I cant remember the last time I was in a small resteraunt with the kitchen in view. Very friendly staff, with a pub also around the corner, it is a great spot to eat before attending the theatre.
