Good food and fair prices. Have been going here for nearly 10 years (including in it's previous guise as the Red Cafe). Highly recommend. Treat them nicely and they will reciprocate.

Food was good but staff severely lacking in sympathy and very smug. How did I find this out? Well, after eating my first reasonable breakfast in 4 months, I naturally wanted to use the toilet. There was a great big sign directly in front of my table saying “Toilets”. After my meal I had a desperate urge to go to the toilet. It turned out to be closed. I told the staff at the counter that I really needed to go- this was met by a total lack of sympathy: he said “It’s not about you, it’s about the virus INNIT”. ( he sounded a bit aggressive) This doesn’t make sense because open pubs have functioning toilets and so do other places since the easing of lockdown. I pointed out that if it was important to him then he would have a sign saying “Toilets Closed”. I asked him why that was not implemented- he didn’t answer, just smirked. In fact he looked more and more smug ; like a villain out of Dickens, as if I were deriving a great deal of satisfaction from my discomfort, since I said I would not have come here if the toilets were clearly signposted as closed. Not that is a great excuse either because sit-down cafes are I believe legally obligated to have a toilet for customers. If eateries are open for meals now then their toilets would also have to open. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service from someone who goes out of his way to SMIRK at a customer and grin sadistically. Atrocious attitude.

Went with my husband a grandchild .There was no one in there when we walked in .The TV was so loud I could not hear my husband so asked the lady to turn it down a bit and she did. Then one of the young guys turned it back up.Not good we moved tables .we had been there at least 15 minutes before anyone came over and asked us if we want to order .we said no dont bother took too long and tv was too loud .I can honestly say I would not go back there no wonder it was empty if they treat customers like we were treated.i went to another cafe and a friend said she walked out as well cause they could be bothered to serve her.im glad we never ate there after looking at hygiene rating .

This is a really lovely cafe-type restaurant. The decor is really well done, giving the whole place a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The menu is varied with the usual items, breakfasts, burgers, grill items and sweets like pancakes. I'd recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and looking for great food at very reasonable prices. Friendly staff complete the experience. It's all good.
