Striking castle stop a hill. Free parking 30 lei for 2 adults 2 kids and what a great place. Beautifully restored, amazing views and some interactive history with a knight who lets you try the armour, weapons and shows you how to fight. Not many people there so easy to take pictures and you have the place to yourself, really well worth a visit!

Great location for this fortress as it offers a panoramic view of surroundings. It has 3 defense lines and it has been nicely restored as you can even visit some of the houses there. I wish more interactive exhibits were available and more things to talk about the history of the place beyond the impersonal tone that states a wall was constructed and then extended. 15 lei, a bit too much in Romania for a visit.

Beautiful views. A little bit of a climb but nothing major. Two parking lots, decent bathrooms and a small shop to buy water or other drinks.

Loved it! It looks amazing after it renovation. It was built in the XIVth Century and used to gather around 100 small houses. There were rebuilt defense buildings that have openings for shooting with flaming arrows in the beginning and guns later. Totally worth visiting if you happen to pass by (like in our case). Must do: try shoot some arrows - the guy there will teach you how to and will watch you. It only costs 10 lei for 5arrows.

The castle is newly renovated, however full of history. Also there's a nice view over the Transylvanian Saxonic villages. The area nearby have lots of beautiful fortified churches worth visiting.
