Great place for kids with a sandy beach and play area. Fun even in the cold weather! A nice walk in the woods takes just under an around an hour to go all the way around.

Fantastic. Such a lovely man-made beach in west london. Probably right up there with the best. There some eateries as well so you can grab some fish and chips, sit and relax right besides the lake. Perfect for families. Based in a lovely area as well. The beach is quite huge and is crowded most of the times.
Its a quaint place with lots of things for toddlers to do. The beach is currently closed but the children's play area and cafe is open.
One of my favourite places on earth! This inner land beach has everything you need. Restaurants, cafés and a huge kids play area. A great attraction for all the family with live sport often being shown in the waters edge restaurant! With Ruislip woods being attached right next to it dogs are more than welcome and even have their own little doggie play beach section! Downsides to this place, on a sunny day it gets packed and the litter is unbelievable
Nice place to go for a walk and take children. There's a slide, swings etc on the sand and nearby. San Remo Cafe to grab a hot drink or something to eat. Also a train for children which was closed when we visited. You can walk through Ruislip woods from the cafe. Lot's of ducks, swans, birds and wildlife. There are two car parks one for Hillingdon residents and non residents. Popular and worth a visit.
