Love this place our family’s fave... yummy cakes and brunch is to die for... healthy but definitely not boring staff are always super helpful and friendly even when rushed off their feet lovely family run high street business we will always come back to again and again covid friendly outside dining options are the best touch can’t rate it highly enough.

If you have not been to the red onion you are missing a real treat! The food is excellent and always beautifully presented. The cafe has a lovely atmosphere and the garden so pretty and thoughtfully spaced out. The cakes, homemade and absolutely delicious! Yes, they can be very busy, but enjoy the atmosphere, take your time and accept that they are busy cos they are so good!
For a small cafe, it has adjusted superbly to the current situation - losing much of its inside capacity but creating covered, heated alcoves outside. The menu has necessarily been greatly pruned but remains varied and original, whilst offering some familiar dishes. Everything was tasty and served promptly and with good humour.
Such a great little cafe! The food is tasty and the portion sizes are good. A lovely local spot for some brunch/lunch. They have nice outdoor seating too, which is a bonus.
