One of the best Bakery's I have been to and been across the globe. It reminds me a lot of Bakery in Venice. Very friendly staff, good price for food, high quality food.
So, so bakery. Cheaper / value focused with large portions, nothing to write home about. Sadly there aren't any decent bakeries in the area to compare it against.
Excellent. They are up from 3AM making everything from scratch and you can truly tell cause everything is just outstanding..
My favourite bakery, specialist fresh bread cooked on the premises. An every week experience!
As of 18th July 2018 closed, after 46 years of trading, and due to become a(nother) Costa Coffee. Best bakers in the area. An astonishing range of breads from the expected English loaves & rolls, through wholemeal and granary, to a range of sour doughs and ciabattas. Then there are the cakes, from slabs of reliable bread pudding through wheelsized Eccles cakes to Mince slices and Danish pastries. Add in the take-away side and the hot drinks, it can't be beaten. Even had a couple of tables & chairs just inside the door.
NOW CLOSED!! And being turned into another Costas!!
I agree with George Alden, he is very handosme and his opinion on bakeries should not be taken lightly
