Poor food... ordered a burger the burger bun was still frozen on the bottom and where the meat had defrosted the top layer it was completely soggy and disgusting.. picture attached. We waited 1hr 20 mins for our 2 meals to arrive. The cutlery basket had one knife and the happy shopper mayonaise had congealed from being left out of the fridge in the heat so clear liquid came out and not mayonaise. This was an awful experience and the girl that served us said she was really sorry that was it no refund, no offer to change the meal. Its safe to say we will not be visiting again which is a shame as it is local to us. The customer care is appalling and we would have got nicer burger edible burger from Mcdonalds and not waited over an hour for it.
Nice "local feel" pub, clean and tidy. Food looked good. Staff friendly.
Friendly atmosphere and a good display. Wish the pool and darts area was open to all ages though!
We visited here for Sunday lunch. The beer as ever was very good and the bar staff polite friendly and very helpful. I had a meal which included mashed potato and sadly it was instant, which was not to my satisfaction at all, however the rest of my food and that of my parents was well cooked well presented and tasted fine. Overall a nice meal out, just wish I'd had a meal with chips...
I come here Friday afternoon with my wife her sister under age and my mother in law for a afternoon drink. I ordered two beers, coke and orange juice. The lady on bar took order went to till and come back to me. She asked if I have id with me. I normally don't take it with me as don't really need it with. So I reply " sorry I don't " and I smiled as noone asked me for ID long years before. I pointed out that the laws state that she can ask me for ID only if I look under 25. But I'm way over. And the whole situation is rather funny as I come with my family and I'm married have a ring on my finger. And the lady was probably younger than me. I ended up drinking coke and nothing bad happened. But I strongly recommend to use common sense. Kids under age do not come for beer with her mums and wife's I think.
Unfortunately we felt very unwelcome. In a very quiet pub (2 other people) we were forced to rush an order. We sat down for 10 minutes only to be greeted with a comment 'you need to order something if you want to sit in here'. We had planned to make this a weekly working lunch spot. That definitely will not be happening.
Good traditional pub, food is well decent standard pub food, has parking and child plau area
