Waited on hold after being told by the NHS app to call. I waited until the afternoon so it was quieter. I literally heard the receptionist pick up the phone and put it down on me. I called back to an automated message to say they're undergoing staff training and are currently unavailable. Fantastic service and training system clearly.

This is the first negative review anywhere, ever - but Rugby Central Surgery has problems. You will be lucky to get through the phone waiting system within an hour, we have had the phone has dropped out after an hour on hold, or my own phone has run out of battery waiting. I wonder if they only have 1 person answering to save money, or are they hoping people will die or give up so they wont have to see them and spend any money on treatment. I am suspicious the phones are ignored whilst on breaks or are they covering more than just the phone so doing only answering around something else? Considering the size of the practice I feel greed is preventing proper cover of the phone. This appalling phone service has been going on for years. When you do get through to the receptionist my mom was fobbed off with severely wrong information and would have been a disaster if not followed up. Also previously have had \we are not seeing anyone - ring an ambulance\ - the hospital were not impressed when I passed this on. Please employ the appropriate number of receptionists for the size of practice - it's not that expensive and training/retraining would be useful. For older people who may struggle with the phone they have no chance. However if you do manage to see/ speak to a doctor there are some good ones.

Can't pick up the phone. Been waiting 30 minutes from number 5 to number 2 and they dropped the phone. Called again, 9th.... one hour wait and dropped again.... I think they want us to die. That's second time of second time i need to call them, still same. They should pay me for this waste of time but not I should pay them by tax. Also why not all phones can reach them??? When I press 1 on my phone nothing is happening so i need to borrow other phone. Never had this issue with other services where I need to select option. Some doctors are really nice, but reception and management looks like monkeys. Can't sort out simple problem.

The reception staff are fantastic. Wish they could be better supported by the management/GP’s though - I have a letter offering me a flu jab, only to be told the only slot available is in a couple of weeks time (early afternoon) - when I will be working. So, won’t be having the flu jab this year! The management would be wise to read the latest Guidance and Standard Operating Procedures, where it states “....reach out to clinically vulnerable patients.....”

After I had a telephone appointment with a nurse (sister Maxine), then a doctor I was invited in for a physical examination the same day and received a prompt and excellent consultation followed by appropriate tests at hospital. Fantastic service. There was then a promt follow up from Dr Rayment. Cannot recommend highly enough. Very reassuring.
