I have had 2 experiences here. 1 fantastic and another terrible. Both left us talking about it well after leaving. Almost 1 year ago we had a date here and it was fantastic. The food was great and the service was more than great. Our waitress was tentative and professional. She left such a great impression that we decided to have our anniversary date here. This was our mistake. We mistook her expertise and hospitality as representative of the business as a whole. Tonight we were seated by a nice manager, drinks handled by a polite enough fellow, and waited on by Jared(?) Not certain as we only saw him 2 or 3 times at our table and only once without asking for him from other staff. He was chatting or drinking at the bar most of the time. He left us feeling inadequately serviced and like he was doing us a favor by even showing up when we needed his presence to order more food. He wasnt very friendly or tentative as expected and honestly the most helpful person tonight was Chris our busboy. He was great. Very nice and willing to help whenever he could. I have never had such an unpleasant experience at a local place before. I have had better service at waffle house. The food was great, but we probably will not return because our service was not what we expected from such a nice establishment. Thank you Cris for making the night not be a total failure.

Love the crust on the Pizza but wish they used real Bacon strips not ground it has NO flavor !
Best spot in Baton Rouge! Fabulous menu and splendid service. Loved eating in the Bar area. I think the entire place is is terrific.
LOVED RUFFINOS. Went and ate on our wedding night and they made it so special for us. They gave us champagne and a cake with caramel heart on the house to congratulate us on our wedding. The staff was so friendly and the food was AMAZING.
