Beautiful place for a walk or a picnic. The forest is majestic with its huge oak trees and lake. One downside (imo): It seemed like the regulars there weren't used to seeing people from other colors/backgrounds. People looked at us strangely (with my wife and kid). But I guess if you're like everyone else \from the area\ it shouldn't be a problem.

Lots of nuts around the forest in Autumn. Don't forget to bring a big bag. You can even bike from Paris under 45 mins.

One of the most calming and colourful forests in France. Vast amount of greens mixed with tints of yellow creating a very calming environment. Not crowded at all almost empty. Lots of signs. The big lake was filled with ducks and also if it's to your liking swimming dogs sometimes

Lovely spacious forest with fresh air & a large lake. There is musical /theatre celebration and performance on some special weekends. Reuil Malmaison is the place where Josephine, the wife of Napoleon Bonaparte used to live
