FANTASTIC SERVICE! I was met at the front door, by a smiling cashier in the gift shop, quick pickup area. I told her that I had never been there. She explained how the menus had changed a little because of Covid. She also shared her personal favorite menu item: Green Chili Stew. Went to the next counter and ordered. More great service. Employees walking by said hi before the cashier took my order. We ordered 2 chopped sandwiches and a small Green Chili Stew to go. Sandwiches were generous and had great flavor! Rudy’s offers 2 different sauces on the side, Original and “Sissy Sauce”. On a spice level, I top out at about a 3 out of 10. Tried and loved the Original, it’s nearly a perfect sauce just a touch sweet for me but has a nice kick. But to be fair to Sissy Sauce, I saved the last few bites of my sandwich to test Sissy. No bite and FULL OF FLAVOR. As for the Green Chili Stew... she did not say it was her favorite without merit. The biggest problem with the stew however, eat it with a fork or a spoon! It is very hearty. Think entree not side. It would be worth the trip just to get the stew. I do disagree with rating. Very reasonable. High quality and flavorful food delivered in a spacious, clean restaurant. (They should put more pickle slices in the To Go cups. I grabbed 3! Oh, and they do not have okra.)

The potato was smoked perfectly. The pulled pork was cooked to perfection. Sour cream and cheese of course was there. The establishment was very clean. The staff was very pleasant. However the sauce ruined everything for me. I like a sweet barbecue sauce. Their sauce is tangy and I'm not sure just not for me. I will not return.
Consistency is all I ask for. My friend is a vegetarian so Rudy's has been a place she has avoided - not many choices for her. When we were driving through Waco we stopped at their location there and got the best new potatoes that were smothered in butter - she loved them. So when we saw there was a Rudy's in Denton we thought we would stop there and get the same thing. Unfortunately, what we got with the quart of potatoes she ordered it was just that - potatoes. No butter, no spices, no seasonings - just potatoes. A huge disappointment. On the bright side the brisket was wonderful - lean, cut perfectly and seasoned well. I wish that I knew which was the way the potatoes are usually served, so I would know how to order(or not order) in the future.
Awesome brisket! Loved the taste and texture. The soda machine selection is good and the service is all good! I'll get a point off because my food was a little cold. Still, I'll highly recommend to go to this great place!
When you want great and quick service, this is the place. Food is always made right and never any issues. Following all the COVID rules and the place is very clean.
