Just a quick note to say that your locksmith Chris came to our apartment today and solved all of our keying issues. His experience and breadth of knowledge were obvious and his friendly manner really made his visit terrific. All issues solved ...and a few more to boot! All at a reasonable price.....thanks Vortex

Vortex Locksmiths arrived straight away, which was great. On arrival the service man had a bad attitude and a very negative demur. Despite this I was very happy that i was able to get into my home so I was very thankful. Anyway I couldn't find my keys straight away (20 seconds of entering the apartment) therefore I agreed for a new lock and 2 new keys. Within 60 seconds I found my set of keys, I told him straight away that I no longer needed a new lock.. I paid 120 and he also CHARGED me for the extra service that I did not require. His reply was that he is late for his next job. I used an extra 2 minutes of his time!! For this reason you should NEVER use this service.

After accidentally locking the keys inside the house after a night out, every locksmith we called couldn't make it out to our place until we found Vortex - who were there promptly and within minutes had us back inside! An excellent job at a ridiculous hour of the night/morning!

Terrible, rude and arrogant. Left me waiting for 15 minutes without making any eye contact or acknowledging my presence. He didn't care that I had a pram out the front of the shop in the heat, even though I told him that I couldn't bring the pram in when I asked how long he would be (no pram or wheelchair access). He mumbled he'd be a minute, whilst having his back turned to me, and took another 5 minutes without saying anything or offering to help to bring the pram inside where it was cool. I ended up walking out and will never go back. I'm all for supporting small local businesses but not when they treat you like this. In this case, I'd be happy to give my money to Bunnings for half the price.
Accidentally locked ourselves out of our apartment and both our real estate agent and strata couldn't provide a key due to it being the weekend. Called one locksmith who charged a high call out fee and wasn't at all helpful. Then called Balmain East Locksmiths who offered a reasonable rate and was at my apartment within 10mins. Couldn't pick the lock but had a special tool which allowed to push the door handle down on the other side. Made a difficult situation one of relief and would happily recommend them! Very happy customer
