We are food production/retail business in operation since before 1934 with a no compromise ethos. We produce as much as we can in house from scratch using only the finest ingredients with an aim to keep our carbon footprint as small as possible. One of only a handful of butchers in Britain to run our own abattoir, we are master butchers in the truest sense. Our locally-sourced meat is fully traceable, and we use time old methods as befits true artisan butchers. We cure and smoke many products at our production site using traditional methods. Our Delicatessen production kitchen produces a wide variety of small-batch, hand-made ready-meals, sweet and savoury products and exquisite cakes, without compromise. We currently have a production site and main retail shop at Melbourn Hertfordshire and a retail outlet in the Foodhall at Burwash Manor, Barton on the outskirts of Cambridge.
