The staff are friendly and helpful and they saved me a fair bit of money in the long run. I got a bit tired of Scrivens' specs breaking (3 pairs in a year). Howes sold me bomb-proof, solid frames and saved me money by not 'up-selling' and by ordering me a non-prescription lens for my blind eye. Yes, the test was more expensive, but they took their time, discussed my issues and were generally pretty amazing. Also had a good laugh with the staff. After care is top-notch too, so far. Another example of how small, local firms can trump the big boys.
