On a sunny sunday between 10 am and 12 noon (and later) you can enjoy here how rich and varied food and life in France really is. What a wealth of choice and quality! If you are in the neighborhood, this experience is not to be missed.

Listed as one of the best markets in France, this is a place to get your fresh produce. Personally I hunt for special cheeses, veggies, fresh fish and I surely I don't miss the 'rôtisserie' for a grilled chicken. Also, the sweet lady that sells fresh pretty herbs from all over the world that she grows locally is worth visiting! The shape of the market is pretty interesting too, in the shape of a shell, the geometric and colourful 50s style that Royan is known for.

Great market, plenty of choice, quality produce and passionate sellers. The oysters on the outside of the market were excellent.
