Only visited for the open championship and lovely course with spectacular veiws across to aisle Craig and arran, hopefully get the chance to play someday.

Royal Troon Golf Club was founded in 1878 and nowadays is widely recognised as one of Scotland's finest links courses with holes that are guarded by heather & gorse, pot-bunkers, larger bunkers and winds that typically blow across the links as a southwesterly crosswind. Troon was granted its \Royal\ designation in 1978 but it wasn't until Jul-2016 that Royal Troon members voted overwhelmingly to amend their men-only membership policy and admit women into the club as members. The South Ayrshire course has regularly hosted The Open Championship for men, but hosted its first AIG Women's Open Championship in 2020, between 20th & 23rd August, won by Sophia Popov.

Small town on the west coast south of glasgow. Beautiful beaches and amazing hotel...the marina. So peaceful and relaxing.
