Brilliant pub since Andrew and Fran came. Beating heart of the village, especially on cold winter nights huddled around the log-burner for humans and dogs alike. Friendly and open-hearted to visitors with great moorings next to the back garden and a superb campsite opposite. Always at least three good ales on tap with wholesome pub food.

We stopped there to his from the rain. We had a drink and a bit of something to eat. As we were going for a dinner that night, we only had a bit to eat. I went with kid's sausage and chips and my partner had an adult's gammon, egg and chips (we shared; also with our two dogs). In general it was a nice stop.

Quaint little pub with a nice outdoor space and small indoor seating and eating area. Food was well made, quickly served and very well priced. The location is near the canal and several walking and cycling paths

Lovely place, went here on Saturday 17th October. We had a really warm welcome from the owners and staff. Lovely cosy pub with nice warm open fires. Good social distancing with ample sanitizing available. The food here is lovely, we had steak and ale pies, probably the best pies we've ever had. Drink was good as well. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be going there again.

Booked last minute while staying at the nearby caravan park. So glad we did as the place was packed! We had to order our food at the bar. Menu was not amazing choice wise but we ordered simple meals and these turned out to be tasty and good portions. Can’t go wrong with scampi and chips or pie and chips imho! If I’m being picky then chips were a bit on the anaemic side but did taste home made. Service was a bit frantic as it was sooo busy but place seemed very friendly. We would go again if in the local area.
