This Shop is a hidden gem in plain sight for locals and tourists alike. The Royal Mile and city centre has become saturated with shops selling over priced products aimed at exploiting tourists. This shop really sets itself apart with fantastic staff selling a great range of Whisky and Gin at a great price even sometimes beating online prices. The shop is set out well and really does have something for everyone. The staff are passionate about Whisky and can give great advice and personal insight. It so refreshing to find a service like this in the city centre. Other shops around this area are adding up to 50% on a single bottle of Whisky. This is a must visit for anyone in Edinburgh.

Great location on the High Street across from St Giles Cathedral. Has a decent range of whisky, but some of the rare bottles are right at the top end of retail prices. The most valuable are on the top shelves and difficult to see labelling. I get protecting valuables, but price is dependant not just on rarity, but also on condition of label and fill level amongst other things. Impossible to discern unfortunately, without asking to see each one individually. Also got the impression I wasn't taken seriously by staff. Feels like they have lost the lead they once had as a specialist whisky shop. I'll stick to buying from auction.

Extremely polite and welcoming staff, very knowledgeable too. Huge array of whiskies on sale in all classifications, ages and brands. I was given advice on which Laphroaig alternative to choose for my dad to bring back home for him to try. Had a nice chat with the staff too on exiting the shop. Happy to have placed my custom here, highly recommend!
