The Landlord & his partner have put in so much work to make the pub Covid compliant(?). I feel safe & comfortable coming in for beer o'clock. Nice !!

Absolutely disgusted by the landlord's behaviour in the time of Covid19. On the door they wrote something along the lines of \locals only.\ Because apparently out-of-towners may be spreading the deadly disease. Blatant discrimination and intolerance to outsiders is no way to run a business.
Lovely,friendly,relaxed and homely atmosphere, i was made to feel right at home and welcome. Friendly and helpful bar staff. Quite 'spit n sawdust' which just adds to the pubs character. I had a really lovely time there!!
Indubitably pre-eminent traditional English coastal inn. Fair size too. Well run & managed. Great venue for parties & live bands downstairs and upstairs. Very good & diverse range of ales, lagers, wine & spirits. Friendly environment. Comfortable. Great location for beach, pier & town.
