Went here on the 24th of January 2021. the place was very busy but even with online orders, takeaways and what not i did not have to wait too long all things considered. the order was some chips, a potato scallop, curry sauce and a battered sausage. First thing to note is the chips are also battered which to me was fantastic but can put some people off. They where amazing with a great crunch on the outside and soft, fluffy inside. perfect for my taste. portions where very generous too so always good The scallop was a bit soggy on the batter but i think it was just a tad bit old. still tasted great and was quite big as well. The curry sauce was pretty mild and a bit sweet. not too runny. overall very good. The battered sausage was lovely and crunchy on the outside and still very juicy on the inside and also again a generous size. Overall i would say this is a great chippy and can definitely see why it had such a a wait but dont let that put you off it will be well worth it.

I wouldn't eat here again as the last two visits the chips were quite greasy and the batter wasn't sticking to the chips. Quite disappointing really as our first visit here the chips were very delicious. So my review has dropped from 5 stars down to 2 stars.
Lovely food! each time I’ve eaten from here the food has been spot on. Clean shop with nice decor . What I will say is one or two girls who now work in the shop have a bit of an attitude problem and it’s offputting so I haven’t been back for a few weeks . However , the food, the shop it’s self, your orders etc you won’t be disappointed I’m sure .
Seriously 3.99 for large chips complete rip-off how do you justify that price. When a massive 25kg sack of potatoes only cost around 3.50 it may even cost less to traders. The other thing all chippy seems to have similar same prices could it be price fixing?
First time visit here. I found the place itself of a good quality. Food here was nice. I had cod, chips, fish bites and the burger. All were to a good standard and I went not long before closing which sometimes can be the worst. Staff were friendly and card payments are taken with a 30p charge
