Ordered a basic meal available in any curry house so good opportunity to compare. Onion bahjis, chicken madras, keema rice, keema naan bread and a couple of popadoms. Onion bahjis-4 small bahjis, quite nice and light. Salad was iceberg lettuce and a slice of lemon, salad portion very small meant I had to eat 2 bahjis on their own with just mint sauce. Mint sauce nice. Chicken Madras-disappointing, just 6 small cubes of chicken awash with a spicy but watery madras sauce. Keema rice-again, disappointing, very little minced lamb amongst the pilau rice. Keema naan-very small bread, about half the size of other takeaway naan breads I’ve had and not much minced lamb filling. Poppadoms-much the same as elsewhere. To conclude- a pretty average curry. Fresh produce but slightly bland. Very limited with the meats, about half the chicken and minced lamb I would expect in a takeaway. Unfortunately, this meant most of my meal was effectively eating a dish of rice with watery sauce. Takeaway priced much the same as others, about 15 collecting. Considering the chicken and minced lamb was about half of what one would expect in a curry then it could be argued overpriced. Had worse elsewhere but definitely had better too, even in Barry. Overall disappointing though produce fresh. Wouldn’t order again as a first choice takeaway.

Ahem... Ladies and Gentlemen I bring to you the 'The Royal Balti Barry' Now anyone who knows me, knows my two favourite meals are quite simply pizza and of course Indian food. So when Muhammad at the Royal Balti gave me the chance to have a free Indian, I jumped at the chance. Anyways enough of me blabbing, I know what you're really here for... South Indian Jal Fry Tikka- So this dish is quite hard to explain as its not like anything I've had before. The best way I can describe it is that it's a South Indian dish cooked in spicy sauce with onions and peppers, very similar to Jalfezi but so much nicer. Very tasty and for spice fans it's definitely got a kick to it! Supreme Butter Chicken - For the milder palette is basically a mixture of Chicken Bhuna and Butter Chicken combined into one. A much more creamy dish but incredibly tasty. Extras: Chicken Chat, Pilau Rice, chips and a garlic naan bread. Conclusion: Highly recommend! A few new dishes which we have not had before but all cooked to perfection, Barry really has got some excellent Indian Takeaway's, so there really is tough competition but thankfully Barry is a big place. I can assure you though I will definitely be ordering again! Follow @wayneseats for more reviews
Don’t where masks until you walk throw the door I wood never order from them in a pandemic and should be avoided at all cost for your own Heath and to say that they are wearing masks is truly not True where are your masks
In my opinion this is a great curry house they are using quality ingredients used them for a year now and never had a bad meal the lamb is possibly the best I have had from a takeaway Staff do use masks during the covid 19 pandemic not only noticed this when I pick up my food but also when I drive past I always have a look in, they don't hide anything you can see the staff Cooking for peace of mind I always appreciate that, They are very busy every time I go there mid week and weekend so what does that tell you Costs are fair for the standard of food I always say you get what you pay for and it's very true of this place, It would be nice to see some freebies every now and then for example the odd poppadoms checked in I know these are really cheap and go along way to make the customer feel valued, Anyway I am going on abit now I recommend lamb bhuna , tikka naan bread, chicken tikka starter, keep up the good work all thank you all stay safe
Do not order online ever. The royal balti have no clue that I ordered online. So let's give it another go on the phone. 90 minutes online never came. another 90 minute's on the phone. If it turns up. Sorry if I upset you with my review. I'm having trouble giving you more stars for a meal that I never received
