The Roxton Volunteer Fire Department is located right off Farm Rd 38 at Pecan & Honey Grove streets in downtown Roxton. It's next door to the Jimmy Cooper City Hall (Roxton City Offices). The facilities are well maintained. 3 med/small equipment bays at S end of bldg. 1 med/large & 1 med/small bay at N end of bldg. Personnel door mid-bldg, all facing Pecan St. An annex behind the main bldg on Honey Grove has 2 large equipment bays. This is more bays than any single VFD facility I've seen in Lamar or Red River counties. \u200d It's reported that 18 volunteer firefighters are stationed here. \u200d The care shown to the facilities & grounds shows an involved, caring community.
