Unfortunately the care in the aquarium department is atrocious. Several bettas dead. This is a result of over feeding and letting food rot in their cups. Incredible level of negligence.

I’m a Petsitter. We’re quirky. We make the absolute WORST pet clients. Because we know. So We like the small independent guys. The real talk vets. The money losing businesses that aren’t there for profits, but for the animals and care takers. (YOU CAN NOT BE IN THE PET CARE BIZ AND DO WELL IN BOTH AREAS 100%... not yet anyway.. it’s money or wigglebutts - choose.) We support the stores that are hands on in local animal rescue and charge too much for dog cup cakes because they need to discount that bag of allergy “salmon and sweet potato” for “your rescue dog with horrid skin”.... BUT - PetSmart Rowlett deserves this rating. WE FROZE HERE, MAN. Like no power for 40 hours, 1 outside, taping up the seams and crevices of all the doors to keep in heat... cooking rice in a pot in the fireplace, hunting for kindling with my dog in the snow. (We both had coats on - she had two). Moving the sick bearded dragon who gets a shot every day (from me, pet sitter mom) into a tiny aquarium (I called it his Manhattan condo) so I could keep him near the fire and aim my tiny infrared thermometer at him every 2 minutes and move his chair accordingly. PetSmart Rowlett doesn’t even come up on the maps straight away yet. BUT THEY SHOULD. THEY ARE THE BEST. ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE A REPTIPHILE (made up word). Because they were open ASAP, helpful. Ahead of the game, and the only place around here that knows I HAVE A RESCUE BEARDED DRAGON - WORMS ARE REQUIRED. And super worms die in cold, mealworms like a fridge... \u200d️ PETSMART ROWLETT WAS READY WITH BOTH. I love these guys for all the regular reasons. But now... rockstars. Thank you!!! Oh yeah and I love them for this too..(pic attached).
