In spite of being very busy with TVs ahead of football season, they diagnosed the problem with my stereo receiver and called me in a few days. One week after taking it in, I picked it up fully repaired, and it works as good as new. Note that this doesn't come cheap; there's an up-front, non-refundable diagnosis charge that varies according the the device (80 for my older stereo receiver, higher for TVs), then repair charges according to what it needs. Altogether, my cost was about 160. I was happy to find a competent shop, and willing to pay the cost, because I couldn't find a new receiver with all the features I needed.

I called AJ Electronics for info about an LG TV warranty claim. They went above and beyond to understand the issue, explain my options, and even helped provide some advice for next steps. If they did all of this for a stranger, I would not hesitate to use them for an actual service call.
I had a Denon receiver repaired here and can reassure you that this is a great place to take your electronics. Above all other compliments, the workers are extremely wise and genuinely appear to love what they're doing. Long story short, my receiver works and was returned in an acceptable time even after needing parts from the manufacturer. I know you're upset because your electronics gave out. It sucks. Take it to AJ in Plano and you're golden. I was.
Brought in a Denon turntable for a repair since they are listed as an authorized repair shop. They insisted that there were no problems until I gave up trying to have them fix the issue (not spinning at the correct speed). They also shipped it back to me without securing the moving parts on the turntable, so when it arrived in the mail the platter had bounced out of place and left deep scratches all over the finish and the dust cover. Would not recommend them at all.
Took my Marantz Receiver into these guys because they were listed as an authorized repair center. They identified the problem with a bad board and replaced it. Now the network is working on my receiver again, and apparently the board controlled something with the sound too, because I had forgotten how good this thing can sound. I would have given 5 stars, but the communication could have been a little better. I had to call and email several times for status updates. Other than that, these guys did a great job in my book. I'd use them again for sure.
My husband took his very expensive Marantz pre-amp/receiver in to their Plano location for internal repairs. The receiver was in perfect external condition. When he came to pick it up after they repaired it, there was a good sized scratch on the top and the faceplate on the front wouldn't close anymore due to their rough handling. When he confronted the guy about these new issues, the man denied having anything to do with it and claimed that it was due to normal wear and tear. My husband is one of those people who takes immaculate care of his A/V equipment, they're practically his babies, so this was not something that he had overlooked, it was definitely due to their negligence. When he asked them to fix the new issues they had created, he was told it would cost him another 150 "because they weren't making enough money on this and if they were going to put any more time into it, they had to charge." To be clear, they said they had to charge my husband to fix the problems that THEY caused. My husband sells A/V equipment and previously would send customers to them to get repairs. After that situation, they lost his business and any future business he might have sent to them. Based on other reviews, looks like we are not the first this has happened to. If you care about your equipment, do NOT give these people your business. Two thumbs down.
They suck and hate you. They never communicate with you. They lost me records and didn't do any repairs on my receiver for over 2 months despite many calls. In fact, they still have my unit well after 3 months. Is there any legal precedent to sue these knobs? All they have done finally is send the unit back to the manufacturer.
