What a find! Really beautiful spot hidden in an old quarry, in the heart of a nature reserve - home made cakes - art exhibits - on site parking - even a semi tame fox called Sam So glad we were too late to visit Dr fox's so tried this gem instead.
Great venue, great food, with friendly and pleasant staff, we always enjoy coming here, well recommended.
These tea rooms are in a house. Service was good and cheerful. Pretty quick too. We actually had a snack lunch and there was a varied choice. Well laid out...fascinating clock on the wall. There are tables in the garden which is pleasant. Plenty of room for wheelchairs etc. Worth a visit.
The Rowan Tree Tea Room at the Old Town Quarry is a welcoming, friendly and warm environment to enjoy wonderful homemade cakes in a stunning natural setting, particularly for dog walkers and bird watchers. The gallery in the Tea Room is currently exhibiting a festive range of affordable art work and craft by resident quarry artists. I can thoroughly recommend a visit now and throughout the year to experience good food, art, and the changing seasons in a beautiful setting.
