Proeflokaal Faas is a typical Rotterdam establishment; hidden in plain sight, unique vibe and no pretence. Their selection of beers is great and the staff are friendly too. The last time I was there, there was live music as well. The acoustics were surprisingly good. Definitely a place for regular visits.

Large beer selection with both traditional and funkier tastes. Great place to go for a couple of drinks with friends. Usually full but not too crowded.

Through out the week a very relaxed bar. In the weekends quite busy, excellent beers. Lovely spot in Rotterdam Noord.

Nice pub with good beer selection. Prices tend to be a little high but they have quite a few uncommon beers on tap and in bottle. Gezellig environment.

One of my favorite cafés. It has a certain vibe (lots of wood, fireplace, brown café) and a very friendly staff. Not that crowded, although that might depend on the day you are visiting.
