Great place to have lunch in Rotterdam. The bread is very very good from a local bakery (Das Brot). Coffee is amazing also. Last bit not least the service is very good. Worth a visit for sure!
Finding Op Het Dak is a bit of a challenge, but that only makes going there even more special, as you feel like you're in on a secret. The food is good, although doesn't reach the point of excellence (specifically, nobody in my party was particularly excited about the mushy peas and the egg I got for my breakfast deal was served cold), and the selection could have been a bit better. However(!), any points lost on that front are immediately made up for by the incredible location on a beautiful roof terrace with lavish vegetation (they even have sunflowers!) and the Rotterdam skyline as a backdrop. The architecture is enjoyably fresh and I can't say a bad word about the service either. All in all, I consider Op Het Dak one of the hidden gems of Rotterdam and well worth a visit.
Amazing fresh food, great view since its on a roof. Lovely garden with even their own beehive. Every dish is made with passion and looks great and the staff is all very friendly and cheerful. Hidden gem of Rotterdam! Only downside is the limited space outside. But the whole setting and food make up for it. Also lots of vegan and vegetarian options.
Nice food with an amazing view of Rotterdam. It is a nice place to have a branch on the weekend!!
