its an exhibition of the Marines since the beginning of their history (they were still pirates) until now. there are many interactive sections where we played just like kids! it was really fun! The staff are super nice and friendly.

Small but informative. First floor more dedicated to small children with some funny questions and tracking tricks. Second floor dedicated to the 010 Mariniers. World war II information about the fight between the Rotterdam's Mariniers and the Nazi invasion of Rotterdam. Very interesting and very informative. Part of Rotterdam's history that every true Rotterdam should know. Unfortunately at the time of my visit, 3rd floor was closed for maintenance.

I really liked this museum. It's fairly small and they don't have a huge historical collection for a corps formed in 1668, but they lost much of it in WW2. What's there is well presented and will leave you with a healthy respect for the Dutch Marines. See my full review in Mechtraveller.

Great museum to learn about the Dutch Korps Mariniers. Great (photo)exposition about the bombing of Rotterdam. Lots to do for small children. Not too big but worth a visit when in Rotterdam.

Incredibly we entered at 16:10 without anyone told us that Museum closing time was 17:00.... unuseful request to get an access the following day. They would have charged us the entire Ticket.

Definitely glad to have come across this museum. Very friendly people at the front desk and very interesting exhibits. Unique and interesting way to spend an hour. Good for families. Don't miss the mine buster ship out front that you can board with your museum ticket. It's run by volunteers and they are incredibly sweet and will explain the whole ship while you drink tea or coffee.
