This place is new in town and it's becoming famous quickly. Their vegan menu is very interesting and it surely doesn't lack creativity. Service is extremely good and staff friendly. The only disappointing factor is that the 5 courses menu leaves you without dessert and that should either be clearly explained or it quickly feels like a trick to add a dessert on top of a full menu.

Nice atmosphere, good music - food is alright. We had to wait a bit for the starters to arrive, but after that speed picked up. Waiters were very friendly. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, looking for some Dutch comfort food, you should go.

I was on my guard when I made reservations as there were some comments about waiting time. We arrived at 7 pm and I must say everything went super smoothly! Waitresses were very attentive and had an eye on everybody. Actually the kind of service I haven't seen in a while! So we were there with notorious meat eaters with a big appetite and who love good balanced meals with unexpected tastes. They were flabbergasted! According to the waitress the whole menu and crew has been changed a few weeks ago and it works. No more 9 course meals for 42 euros but shared dining with little and bigger bites. The bites arrive in random order, we were with 5 and we shared everything (starters are then a little nibble but we just wanted to taste all) The food was really a-ma-zing! Unexpected tastes, and really something different than the standard (mostly junkfood) vegan fare. The grilled melon was a big positive surprise, as were the chick(en) wings, sushi, topinamboer (aardpeer) and everything really... We paid 46 per person including tips and we all had a cocktail and some of us two! I traveled from Amsterdam to Rotterdam for this and I was not disappointed!
Very nice, quite trendy place with a no-menu standard. Be aware, its a almost no choose menu and you pay 32,50 EUROS per person!! We were shocked by the price once we saw it at the bill, as it was good but this on top of the drinks made it a very expensive night out for food that was sometimes not good. The night we were there, there was no other than a gin-tonic cocktail or an alcohol-free variant of the gin-tonic. The menu is kind of standard for everyone and includes a 5 course menu where they bring out a plate that is ought to be shared. The first and second course was very good and dessert was all outstanding. The "stew" and "lasagna" was really not that good.
Great food - plenty of options to either share or to enjoy by your own. Had the sushi, the mac & cheese and the icecream. The portions seem a bit small at first but trust me, there's more than enough. The atmosphere is cozy and the decorations and lights are very pretty and do a lot to improve the already good vibe. The staff is kind and helpful, the spontanious surprise cocktails were a nice touch! Sometimes it took a bit longer to get our order taken (5-10 minutes), but that was because we were kinda hidden away in a corner. Would love to come back soon! P.S. please make a reservation in advance, especially on fridays and saturdays.
Perfection!! Great tasty food, friendly waitress and a love ambiance for a fair price! Go for the special menu. The fried mushrooms and fried elderflower were delicious! I would definitely recommend Dumbo to friends and family. I can’t wait to visit again.
Don't come here for the "Rotterdampas" menu - you will pay just as much or more as when you order from the menu, but you can not choose! Don't come here if you're in a hurry or hungry. We had to wait more than 45 minutes before we got our first food and then again between courses. 30 minutes for our drinks even. Our 4 course menu (again: don't fall for it!) took more than 2.5 hours, and we only got 3 of the 4 courses: they forgot one! After mentioning this we got 1,5 euro discount. The course we did NOT get was about 15 euros on the menu (we were with 2). That's not nice. All in all a horrible experience, we will not come again. 1 star for the taste: that was not bad.
