Lovely meal at the earl of Strafford! Had really nice service in a relaxed atmosphere. The food was really tasty and was even better it was in the eat out to help out scheme. We booked online the week before to get a table booked for the evening. Good booking system and was quick and easy as I prefer to book online than to ring. Anyway really nice meal with large servings. Everything tasted home made and not greasy. Really good tasting thick chips not to heavily fried and really nice steak with fell apart in my steak and ale pie. The place had tables separating each other so you are at a distance and we were advised to do the track and trace and all staff site correct PPE. All over we loved it and was a nice venue so we are thinking of going back for Christmas time.

Really good food with generous portions! Staff are helpful. Menu is reasonably priced with quick service, despite rapidly changing procedures. I've eaten here a few times over the last few months and each time it's been lovely.

First time here tonight and I can say the food is beautiful! Real homemade chips and battered onion rings. Not the rubbish you get from \chain\ pubs. I had steak and was lovely and my partner had the pie which was just beautiful!! Service was slightly slow but the staff need a medal for how hard they are working and maybe not so much criticism! Yes you will be waiting a bit longer but who cares when you get food like that. We will definitely be booking again and taking full advantage of the eat out to help out again. See you soon x

Really nice pub in the village of Hooton Roberts. Went for the Eat Out To Help Out offer and had some lovely food. The steak and Guinness pie was one of the best pies I've ever had. Very big pub too so social distancing not a problem. There's a very large car park too.

Staff very friendly and helpful. I had a vegetarian option due to a low acid diet and it were very nice. Husband had the steak and we both got plenty . Food served hot and fresh. Very nice. Worth a visit
