Wouldn't visit again. We received a 70 parking fine. There are better stores around that won't profiteer at your expense.

The only problem I have is lack of signage telling/reminding you to Validate your parking ticket or even how to. As a new driver and not using the car park before there are no signs entering or exiting the store to remind you to Validate your ticket. Since lockdown they have not even been using the validation machines. (about 4 month's) then suddenly decide to use them again but no signs/ information to tell you this. You have to come down the escalator to go out, as this is the only exit (unless using the lift) the other entrance is down the bottom end and is for entry only. You can't even see the validation machines, no signs pointing to where they are. Just a sign directing you to the way out. Which is in the opposite direction of where the validation machines are. The exit doors are to your left and the validation machines are to your right basically behind you. On the 28/08/2020 I decided to have a good look around the car park and i did manage to find a sign about parking but even that did not say about validating your ticket. (See pic). Oh and the validating machines were out of order. Not in use. But today 01/09/2020 I noticed they have now put new signs up in the car park. (No where else!!) I wonder if this is because of the amount of people who have been unjustly issued with a parking fine. Tesco get your act together please. More signs to remind you to Validate your parking at this stressful time !! Maybe on exit doors instead of the advertising ones you have.
I am confident you will no doubt come across a terrible shop every now and again at this store especially if your a regular. The parking is a test so many times have I fought parking charges and had them revoked , which shows it's a flawed system, at the tescos service desk I was told the car park belonged to another company. Which tells me tescos have a deal with them to rip customers of because they house the validation machines on their shop floor and not in the car park so something's snakey. On my visit today the staircase was blocked by a pallet, MAJOR fire hazard. I arrived in store to find the exit escalator had broken down now I am stuck in a 120 foot plus cue of people trying to leave trapped in begging to get out via elevator at one at a time during covid 2 meter distance rules tempers flared from many customers. I asked 2 members of staff why they would not open the stairs and control the flow but they were more interested in talking to the engineer repairing the escalator. Eventually they did do it as customers just were not shifting. Not the first time this happened, barriers can be put up to control the flow it's not rocket science. I bought warm food to eat immediately. when eventually got out the store it was cold, I binned it. Entry/exit nightmares and risk the parking fine again no more for me thank you for me, it's not tescos just the management of this store.
I’m Lyn and I just want to say a big Thank You to the two helpful & lovely sales assistants at Tesco Petrol Station in Rotherham today for going above and beyond. I turned up at the petrol station hoping to be able to get some flowers for one of my colleagues, a nurse at Rotherham General Hospital, but there were no flowers there. Having explained who the flowers were for, instead of making me go to the the main store and join the long queue for shopping, one of the assistants kindly went across to get me a bunch of flowers. Thank you ladies , Stay Safe x
It's a race against time at this store. You have 30mins to 1. Park you car. 2. Run inside and grab your trolley. 3. Do a quick trolley dash around the store. 4. Pay at the checkout. 5. Run back to your car and load up. 6. Drive out the carpark before your 30mins are up and Tesco sends you a parking fine in the post.
