A large park to the north of Ambleside. Take a stroll along the paths that follow the river, quiet & peaceful away from the hub-hub of Ambleside. Great views of the fells as well, continue over the bridge to Brathay church which is very nice also.
A great place for kids to have lots of safe fun
Facilitating both the enjoyment of family units and cheap cider drinking for the youths without the derelict nature of a more council estate setup familiar throughout the UK.
Walking through the gardens, well looked after, sat on a seat near the River for a cuppa, nice and peaceful. Then completed return leg of our walk back to Rydal.
