The Viking Ship Museum is a must . Be amazed at how old these amazing ships are. Very interesting and interactive museum. You can build your only mini ship , try some weaving , toast some sausages on the fire . Fabulous experience for the whole family. You can see these ships built in front of you , which is awesome to see . We also did the sail in a Viking Ship which was so fun to get out on the water . Highly recommend book early and go early. Fantastic adventures for everyone.

A display of 5 Viking ships dating back to around 1000 AD, recovered from the sea bed around 1960. (that in itself is remarkable). There is an area children can dress up and 'sail' in a boat. The workshops are interesting where they make ships using similar tools to back in the day. Personally I found it over priced.

Had a great time: learning about viking ships and how they are built & enjoyed the summer activities a lot: rowing, playing viking games and watching craftsmanship working with wood. Try the rowing/sailing tours during summer!

Nice, small museum with great items. Probably it is better to visit it in summer to see the boats outside.

A beautiful sea side museum dedicated to the Vikings. It has 5 viking ships which were recovered from the sea bed. The museum has a lot of information about the Viking way of life, culture and traditions. There is a free introductory 15 minute movie shown, register at the reception for this. There is a cafe on site as well as outside, and there are boat trips taken out in summer in viking model boats made to the exact scale in exactly the same manner. Totally worth a visit
