Stayed here a few days ago. We were able to get a site close to the river and really loved it. River front sites are very spacious and we were able to easily park our 25ft trailer and truck without having to unhook the trailer. There was still plenty of room around for our dog to run around (on a leash of course). All sites come with a picnic table and fire pit. You can buy a bundle of wood for 10 at the office if needed. Non powered sites (like ours) are 25 a day plus 5 a day for the dog. Great price for what you get. There is a small beach kids can play on and swim in the river (supervised of course because you never know what might happen with the current). There is even a small hill with a Canadian flag on top you can hike up to see amazing view of the area. The owners are very nice and if there is something you want to enquire about they will be able to help you! Drumheller town centre is only 7 km away so you can even bike to town if needed (we didn’t take our bikes unfortunately). If you have an inflatable raft you could also drive to town and float back to the campground (around 12 km down the river starting from Newcastle beach). You can then call a cab (campground office has the number) to drive you back to Newcastle beach to get your car (20). The only thing to have in mind that the current isn’t too powerful so it might take 5-6 hours so bring snacks, drinks and sunscreen!

Very private site's, basic washrooms. Next to Red Deer River. Perfect

This is so cute ! They had full power sites and no power. It’s right on the red deer river and has a small beach/dirt area to dig and access for wading - current is strong - but you could float down. They had a hill to climb , easy enough for kids 8,6 and 3. Very quiet, 5 minutes to drumheller and close to all attractions

Great spot, large sites, power if needed, private and well maintained, outhouses are basic and dark but serve it's purpose will visit again. Flag hill is a nice spot to watch the sunset. Great location close to everything.

This Campground is really nice, but it seems only some people need to follow the owners many rules. 1. No reservations - asked to have the end 30 amp site was told its spoken for which isn't fair if its no reservations and the funny thing was it wasn't used all weekend. 2. No chainsaws - our neighbors were using chainsaws but no one asked them to stop. 3. Dogs on a leash - walking my dog on a leash and was greeted by a snarling dog not on a leash. If your not going to take reservations you shouldn't be blocking spots for people, we came from out of town to reserve a spot and thats really not fair.
