Five stars for the "Thorny Rose Café" grilled cheese sandwich. I live in Toronto and was driving home thru Rosebud. After looking around Rosebud I had to "keep driving" I went into the Café and checked their menu. Lots of food for sitting down, I'm sure all their menu is great. With a grilled cheese I can drive and eat. I know that's bad but.. To the point their Grilled Cheese sandwich just might be the very best I've ever had from a restaurant or anywhere else for that matter! Order one!
Took the hubby here for date night and the food was amazing and the staff were friendly and welcoming. One of the best beef dips ive had in a long time and the pecan pie was to die for.
We loved the Thorny Rose Cafe! A little hidden gem in the heart of the badlands. No visit to Rosebud would be complete without dinner at the Thorny Rose! Our favourite menu item was the chicken pot pie with a side of strawberry pecan salad. Now that I can't eat gluten or nuts due to allergies it's not an option for me, but I have very fond memories of this delicous treat! The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and artistic being in the centre of the Rosebud theatre community. If you like a comfortable environment, friendly staff, good food, and good times then this is the place to go!
