Lovely owner, immaculate ladies toilet. Lovely outside seating front and rear, quiet countryside location worth coming off the dual carriageway to visit for a peaceful rest. Nice and cool inside.

Great village pub; decent company; unpretentious, home cooked, reasonably priced and nicely presented food including Sunday lunches. Music and quiz nights and other events held on a regular basis as well as league darts, pool, and skittles. Sports shown on TV. Juke box. On quiz nights, wood-fired pizzas are usually available.
Nice food and kind staff. However the skittles alley was quite small and a bit isolated which was a shame when it was supposed to be a social event . But lovely none the less. Thank you :)
We were a party of six, meant to have gone to another Rose and Crown nearby for lunch, but so pleased we ended up here. Great meal, good 'pubby' pub, not pretending to be anything more. Good atmosphere. Would definitely go back again.
