Great hidden treasure. Beautiful picnic area check first with EPA to have the bathroom facilities available.. Long ride to next available one.
Find the large rock on the creek. Makes for the perfect spot to bask in the sun with a book and snack. Be aware tho that you need to pay 6 for all day parking since there wasn't a sign that says so.
This beautiful little river and covered bridge hold so many memories. The camp ground is family oriented the showers and bathroom. The river in summer is crystal clear with many fish to catch. It's only a short distance yo Livingston Manor, a quaint little mountain town nestled in the Catskill Mountains. Drive or walk over the covered bridge and you feel like you're taking a walk back in time. Love this place and highly recommend it.
A \short bridge\ by modern standards, but experiencing the incredible craftsmanship with your own eyes gives you that feeling of awe and respect for the genius in engineering principles they used. Definitely check it out, and the roads in that part of the world lead to some beautiful scenery in the Catskills if you're looking for a lazy weekend drive by yourself or with family/guests.
