Roots is one of our favourite cafes in Edinburgh! They have an brilliant variety of plant based food, care for the environment and do a lot of incredible work to support the local community. Their veg boxes and ready meals really got us through lock down! We love them so much that they're even catering our wedding :) would highly recommend this wonderful small business

I am not vegetarian and I was very skeptical on having this kind of meal on my trip. The soup was the highlight of my day! So delicious and I would be back again just for that. Sandwiches done well. Staff is welcoming and very polite. Some of the smoothies have beetroot in it and the waitress gave a bit to try to my boyfriend before ordering it. It shows how lovely they are. The restaurant is a bit small but cozy.
Roots is literally where my team and I get all of our work-time snacks. The food is delicious, with incredibly inclusive options and the team are all absolute angels. A powerhouse of entrepreneurship and an amazing force in the community. Would highly recommend supporting this wonderful business.
Really enjoyed or visit here. First time. I'll be back. Good to sit and have a coffee and a sandwich on a really rainy Edinburgh day. Staff were lovely as well. Highly recommended.
Food is so so yummy especially the vegan macaroni cheese! Friendly and chilled atmosphere with lovely staff. Highly recommend.
