Mavis tells me it's all in the wrapping that is why all the chips aren't stuck together like a lump of mush like other chippy's as for sweaty soggy fish any longer than 10 minutes in a hot bag what do you expect.
The nicest fish and chips in the area. I have other chip shops closer to me, but i’ll always travel the extra distance to this one as it’s so much nicer. The mushy peas are delicious, most chip shop mushy peas just don’t compare! Would recommend this place to anyone.
What a waste of money and the journey from Alsager. The chips were ok, but the batter on the fish was soggy and incredibly greasy. Not even one cm of the batter was crisp. As for the mushy peas that I had smothered half of my dinner with before catching a whiff of them... VILE!!! They must have been Off because I would struggle to say I have ever tasted anything that bad in my life! Needless to say half of the food has gone into the bin. We will never be returning!!
Tiny, greasy portions. Miserly and miserable.
