Cant really comment on Roofer's Union as a whole but stopped in on a Thursday night for a few drinks and eats. We decided to sit in the rooftop lounge area which is covered and heated and has a bathroom of it's own. From what the bartender stated, the menu on the rooftop differs just a bit from the main bar/dining area a floor below. But since we just ordered wings etc. it was perfect. Nice selection of beer too. Had fun and would most certainly visit again

Went to Roofer’s Union for brunch. My two friends did bottomless and I got a coffee. Our server come by often to refill my friends drinks, but not once asked me or refilled my coffee and left us waiting for him for about 15 minutes after we got the checks. The eggs Benedict was good, but the brunch menu is pretty limiting unless you want everything fried and greasy. They also ran out of OJ- a cardinal sin for a Sunday brunch in DC. Probably not returning any time soon.

Incredible selection of craft beers. The beer master offered some great suggestions. Cheers!

A good place to catch up with a friend or just going out alone. The cocktails and food are simple, but the vibe is peaceful.

On a Saturday night in this bar district, Roofers Union has the winning combination of elbow room, a well attended bar, and live music. It is a relief to walk upstairs at this place and have the spacious ceilings and enough space to actually move. The band area is set up in a way that allows traffic to flow, and the acoustics are surprisingly good for the size of the room. The bar is standard, but the service is excellent. The place is clean, and there are lots of seats and tables. Thank you Roofers Union for being an island of relaxation in a sea of cramped dirty little bars.
