Only a couple of shops open at the moment. Visit was to Hawkins butcher's, have found their meat to be very good & good selection. Friendly service as well

I had a business in the original shopping hall. Now looking around at its rebuild it does have modern amenities and varied selection of shops but very much lacks the atmosphere and character it once had.
Covid has taken over so the footfall here was lower than usual. I was surprised at the number of shops open though, and was very happy to see Cake Box open so queued and patiently waited for my delicious cake. Sam 99p store, M&S, Boots, B&M, Aldi and Iceland were also open and quiet... nothing more to add really...
Ok most shops shut Went Aldis people still picking things and putting them down again. Not nice went to Hawkins butcher's very good meat.Als traffic wardens walking about 2 not 10 cars in market. Made you uneasy.
Very good selection of shop. Cafe, boutique & newly opened cycling & gym wear shop at first floor. Parking available & good public transport link. Public toilets are free & very cleaned. Prices are very good compared to high st shop. You might be able to get cheaper online but most of time product are not as expected & have to wait few days so prefers to buy from this market shops. Good for family day out as well because of a lot of big stores & street market right in front of shopping hall.
