I am very happy with the professional service I have received from Joanna Doe and the team at First for Party Wall Surveyors. As an adjoining owner, they helped me to understand the process and carried out an inspection of my house promptly when necessary. They have communicated clearly and provided me with regular updates. Compared with other local companies, their rates are reasonable. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Fantastic service from Darryl and Paul, very friendly and offered plenty of advice both before we appointed them and afterwards. They were able to come out to me on a Sunday and email me the party wall award that evening. I don't usually leave reviews but these guys went above and beyond my expectations.
Disgusting company. Steer clear of Paul Williamson from this company who we used as our party wall surveyor, not only did he do the final visit when our neighbours asked him to without him or the neighbour asking us or checking that we had even finished our building work (which we hadn't!) he then advised us that there was damage next door and we need to pay for this (which was fine by us) however, when we asked for photos of property before our works commenced in a digital format twice he refused to respond or provide this both times. We still do not have this. He quite obviously doesn't have this either. We were provided with tiny print outs on normal paper which you can bearly see anything on. Then when we asked one more time on a phone call he told us that we 'had fobbed our neighbours off for long enough now and he was not prepared to work any more on our case unless we paid him his hourly rate'... we had already paid 950 for the service! We also have answered every phone call and email within an hour of it being sent so im not quite sure how he thinks we 'fobbed' our neighbour off. Not very professional from him! He then threatened us with issuing an award for the neighbours which will cost us 1,500... always threats of money if something wasn't going his way. We then explained to him that we are not disputing the cost, we just simply wanted a couple of explanations of how the figure the reached and he told us to 'Google the definition of dispute' because clearly we don't know what it means! Terrible customer service.. and to think we actually paid to get spoken to like that! I have now had to contact the RICS because of their conduct and them refusing to provide us with their complaints procedure which we have asked for twice now.
FPWS Are Just The Best. We have a terraced house adjoining a housing association house they have a policy of always sending in their own surveyor from Surrey for any party wall work so we also decided to use them as an agreed surveyor for our loft conversion works too. Well... once employed that company and the housing association messed us around and ignored us for over a year. We a tried to use another surveyor but they just said we cant help you as you've signed with a surveyors already even if they are messing you around. We then found and spoke to Paul Williamson form FPWS giving him the full story, from that point he took it out of our hands. He wrote letters, emailed and phoned the original surveyors, and got them to relinquish us from the signed contract with them stating their unprofessional conduct. As they were still acting on behalf of the housing association he ended up threating to take them to the governing body for misconduct. Just to kick then into gear. We eventually got the award and at a very reasonable cost for the amount of work they had to put into this one. We are so grateful to Paul Williamson and all at FPWS for their help, patience and persistence.
