Love Panera bread. The freshness of food at the Rome location can be hit or miss though. Since COVID-19, I’ve only ordered curbside pickup which is a great, safe option! I typically place orders 4-6 times a month and have never had a terrible experience or a botched order. Staff is usually friendly in the brief seconds it takes to hand the food through my car window.
Well, I never thought I would have to write this but today pushed me over the limit. Today I was looking for a quick and easy lunch for my kids since they were off of school. We decided the best option was Panera. I ordered and specifically stated that I wanted no sauce/mustard on any of the sandwiches I ordered. Apparently they decided to wake up today and ruin our lunch. My daughter has an extreme allergy to many sauces including mustard. Luckily I checked her sandwich and saw the mustard. My daughter was very sad and this was not the first time the occurred. I don’t know if we will end up returning, but this experience has made me very upset and if we do return I guess I will have to make it even more clear that I don’t want any sauce. Please pay more attention to what your customers order.
Most of my experiences at Panera have been good. Good food and service. This time very disappointing, paid an extra dollar to add avocado on the sandwich and it is disappointing what I got. Two tiny slices!!!!! The egg on the sandwich looked like half an egg. Normally I wouldn't have complained, but this time quality was mediocre.

My soup and turkey sandwich is good and quick as always and staff is all friendly except this one lady. She is rude and doesn’t listen to you clearly while at register. Asked for pick 2, and she rang it up separately instead and I paid much more than usual. Other than that, love this place!
Good coffee and pastries. Great place to just get together with a friend to fellowship.
