Re-opened 3rd May with new queuing arrangements and screens to protect customers and staff. Same superb fish & chips and friendly staff.

Their chips are the best in South Yorkshire!!, The staff are lovely. Very clean and covid safe! Always delish fish. Saussagues or pies. Or even a kebab!! My husband normally gets the mixed kebab on garlic naan it is massive!! And lovely!!

Got a small fish and a proper fish cake 5.00, the batter on the fish wasn’t cooked properly raw inside and very greasy barely warm. Fish cake not fresh borderline bin fodder very greasy and barely warm. Not good, I need to find another chip shop. I’ve been using this place for the last 3 years, and very rarely has it been at a standard that I would call excellent, you’re deluded if you think everything is great, it’s not, I’ve been on the borderline of throwing up since I had that dreadful fishcake. Update, went to bed early because I was feeling awful, by 2223hrs in the toilet throwing up till 2230hrs on the plus side I felt a lot better after throwing up, 5.00 well spent thanks to the staff at the Roman fish bar.
